On Becoming
When the person you could have been meets the person you are becoming
“When the person you could have been meets the person you are becoming, is it going to be a cause for celebration or heartbreak?
This is something we must work on right now, and tomorrow, and every single day until the meeting happens.” —Seth Godin 1
Who was the person you could have been?
Who is the person are you becoming?
Perhaps just naming it out loud is enough for this “meeting” to happen.
And perhaps maybe be something we can celebrate with you.
Ahhh 😌

Finding the Perfect in the Imperfect
Sometimes you just have to release the idea that you’ll find what you’ve been wishing or striving for in the places, or ways, you thought you would. Perhaps instead, we need to “dance with the conditions that aren’t quite perfect” …
From “The inevitable meeting” by Seth Godin, Seth’s Blog
Person I could have been: feminist architect, designing spaces that are beautiful and rounded, like women.
Person I'm becoming: feminist mystic and author of a book about life lessons learned from pie (and based on a career of making the world better/safer for women, children, people of color and queers).
These two persons like each other and enjoy hanging out over coffee and going on hikes together.
Ahhhhh, indeed….
