A Peek Inside my Kitchen Voting Booth
How to make early voting easy, fun, and feel good
It never hurts to be reminded of the privilege we enjoy to participate in democracy. We are among the lucky few that gets to choose who we wish to lead us.
And depending on the rules, voting for our people doesn’t have to be a grind either. If you live in a state or country that offers early voting, it’s possible to make it easy and even fun.
As you can see in my little homemade video below, all you need is:
an absentee ballot
a kitchen table (preferably one that is free of clutter 😉)
a pen
some great music to get the energy moving and lift you up
(a few blessings to beam into the envelop can’t hurt either)
Why voting early matters
Making your preferences known ahead of Election Day signals to your candidates that you’re in, you’ve been counted, and their team can focus their energies on others: the procrastinators, the wavering, and the undecided.
If you are US citizen and plan to vote in November, I encourage you to vote now.
If not for you, or your candidate, cast your vote for democracy.
(A freshly cleared kitchen table will love it too.)

Speaking of democracy …

Never did I feel more proud to be an American than my visit to the West Wing last year. You can read about it and see my photo journey here:
Yes! What a privilege to GET to vote! I’m sending letters too to others who need a little nudge that it’s so important to lend your voice!
