When a Simple Thank You Goes a Long Way
Appreciation is a powerful thing no matter what form it comes in
Hi everyone,
I ordered a shower mat online recently. Nothing fancy. Just something that could keep us from slipping in the shower.
It arrived beautifully packaged with a colorful postcard that looked like this:
I may be shallow, but this simple act of appreciation made me feel good.
If a form letter can have this kind of an effect on one unsuspecting customer, imagine the effect we can have with those we care about.
One simple thank you.
It might even make their day.
Ahhh 🏡
Your turn…
When was the last time you appreciated something or someone?
How did it make you feel?
Is there someone in your life who could use a little love today?
Speaking of small actions making a big difference
I am lucky to belong to a group of women (WWW=Women Who Wine) who meet once a week Thursdays at 4.30). We take turns hosting. Last night was a smaller gathering of women, about 8, which led to more in depth and connected conversations. When I got home I texted our host for the evening thanking her for an extraordinary evening of friendship and apologized for staying so late. This morning was a note from her thanking me and assuring me I could never stay too late…. warm hugs through reaching out and expressing appreciation.
I'm a card giver, too. I love sending cards for so many occasions! Also, the last time I truly let someone know how appreciated they were was when my husband was in the hospital. The staff was so kind and attentive. And I let them know how wonderful they were, then sent a thank you card afterwards. I think appreciation is so important, and not utilized enough these days.
