I am lucky to belong to a group of women (WWW=Women Who Wine) who meet once a week Thursdays at 4.30). We take turns hosting. Last night was a smaller gathering of women, about 8, which led to more in depth and connected conversations. When I got home I texted our host for the evening thanking her for an extraordinary evening of friendship and apologized for staying so late. This morning was a note from her thanking me and assuring me I could never stay too late…. warm hugs through reaching out and expressing appreciation.

Oh I love this, Val. Thank you for sharing your rounds of appreciation... And the WWW is hysterical. I'm going to mention that at my next circle gathering of Fabulous Five Femmes. 🤣

I'm a card giver, too. I love sending cards for so many occasions! Also, the last time I truly let someone know how appreciated they were was when my husband was in the hospital. The staff was so kind and attentive. And I let them know how wonderful they were, then sent a thank you card afterwards. I think appreciation is so important, and not utilized enough these days.

Thank you Stephanie for all your thoughtful posts here that inspire me to see the beauty all around me. Sometimes we need the reminder to look outwards and appreciate the simple things. Have a wonderful week.
