Downtime is sacred. It is a "gift" time. I turned 80 in November. My body, mind and spirit long for rest and restoration. It is part of my self-care routine now. And I am grateful!
I like your idea that we shouldn’t have to steal time. And I would add that the word downtime could even be a negative sounding word. As opposed to our always up world of positivity. Believe me I love being positive but it’s taken me a while to embrace that I can have downtime. So maybe I need to embrace the word too! 😀 And love time that is free of calls and phone messages. Solo time is my true downtime.
