This. Tree.
Stopped me in my tracks the other day.
It didn’t make itself known right away. It was more of a slow, spacious reveal — as you can see (and tell from my gasps) in this short video clip:
The experience reminded me of a passage by Rumi:
Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened.
Don’t open the door to the study and begin reading.
Take down a musical instrument.
Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
What ‘musical instrument’ do you need right now to bring you back home to your self?
Home to your spacious self?

7 Day Clearing Challenge - Check in
How’s it going?
On Friday October 25, we launched our first 7-day clearing challenge.*
Those of you who said yes to giving your closets a closer inspection: peeking into what’s inside them, exploring what you have (and didn’t even know you had), and using your wardrobe as a pathway to a simpler, more lasting, slow drip approach to clutter clearing… I’m checking in (or nudging as the case may be).
How’s it going?
It may be helpful to clarify that the aim of this clearing practice…
is not about getting rid of as many things as you can in 7 days… It is about learning to let…them…go — one at a time.
is not about assessing or judging which clothes don't fit or feel good… It’s about feeling into how they lift you, or don’t; how they add to your wellbeing, or don’t.
is not about taming the stuff spilling out of the closet or having a pristine one… It’s about taming the overwhelm.
is not about efforting… It’s about easing.
*If you’re new to this challenge and want to give it a go, join us. You will find all the DETAILS HERE.
*For those of you who are already participating, here’s the link to the private CHAT THREAD where you can share your stories and photos. There’s a collective power in sharing your experiences with us — it lightens the load exponentially for everyone!
Speaking of beauty and musical instruments…
In case you missed it…
