This May is the first time for 5 years that i’ve been free to attend all the end of the school year spring events of our grandchildren. School programs, theater performances, baseball and more baseball at different levels. After being my parents caregivers, and them living with us for the last four years, they are both gone now and life is different. Of course there’s grief and loss, and a whole new set of responsibilities I’m facing with settling their estate, but this year I can make choices on how I spend my time, so I’m squeezing everything I can out of this short blip in time while I can.
