Upon viewing my latest monthly video recap* of life in the slow lane (below) you could say that raising a glass pretty much summarizes the month of June for me.
Raising a glass to…(in no particular order)…
longtime friendships and sister spirit.
blue skies and flying through them.
160 year-old European Beech trees and walking through them.
seaside cottages with roomfuls of peonies.
a Master’s Degree earned with distinction. (Our daughter’s second Master’s achievement, I might add with pride.)
siblings coming together with their remarkable 94 year-young mom. (Yes, that would be a sneak peek of my mom in the video below teaching some of her best chair yoga moves. Not shown: her best card-playing moves that keeps her winning tournaments with her 98 year-old Bridge partner.)
anonymous young people leaving their messages of hope in random public spaces.
What do you wish to raise a glass for today?

Your turn…
To what (or to whom) would you like to raise a glass?
To what would you like to raise a glass — in your self?
In case you missed it…
* New to my monthly recaps of life in the slow lane?
I make these short one-second slices-of-life videos at the end of each month not just to mark and remember the precious fleeting moments of my life, but as a way to wake up the senses. It helps me connect with the beauty that surrounds us, the goodness in people, and the magic that happens when we let go of attachment to outcome and revel in what shows up.
I love all of these everyday moments that are brief glimpses of such special times together. My mom passed away at 89, toward the end of April, and we had her memorial celebration this past weekend. 70 family members from near and far, plus lots of friends, gathered to celebrate her life and scatter her ashes in the mountains of Montana where she and my dad loved to be. 🩷🩷🩷

Celebrate life. I loved seeing your mom do chair yoga, all
The friendships and water and beauty and your daughter’s graduation!
I’m raising a glass to friendships and love and celebrating our 40th anniversary. My love of my life still makes me smile! To Quebec city and fine meals, to my gorgeously sweet little grandkids that ask me to play!
