I love audiobooks!!! I discovered them 20 years ago and have not left home without one since 😊. The library, Libby, and Hoopla all have audiobooks available for free. I also read print books and ebooks. Usually, I read 60-75 books a year—in all their many forms.
I started listening to Audible books during the pandemic. I love them. I’m an avid reader too but love listening to audiobooks when I walk or spend time in the kitchen. One that I really loved was “What to Remember when Waking” by David Whyte read by the author. It’s exquisite
Thank you so much, Christine. I will check it out. I just started following David Whyte on Substack and am remembering that I actually met him at a writer’s conference some years back. Love his work!
I too have always been a slow reader. And I have made the connection to audiobook as well, and it has made all the difference! My auditory channel integrates material faster than my visual. Plus I need cataract surgery which doesn’t help! I’m having my first eye done next week and it couldn’t be a moment too soon!
A few months back I listened to Matthew Perry's book on audiobooks and it was super good. I really really liked it.
I was so saddened with the shock of his passing that I started listening to the book again and you find out different things and I'm taking different things from the book now after his passing. I love audiobooks too as I love listening to them when I'm on my walk.

Wow, 60-75 books a year. That’s impressive, Jane! 😮

Oh how nice that you met him. He was a friend of John O’Donaghue, another writer I love ❤️
Sorry, “O’Donahue”!
John O’Donohue was the best!

Viola Davis reads her own memoir. Her magnificent voice and her amazing life’s journey made it a book I could not put down!
Great suggestion. Love Viola Davis! Thank you, Maria!

Thanks for reading tip, Rebecca. I'm with you on the walking part. Reading now keeps me fit as well. 😉
