I have been following you for years (as you are probably aware!) and love all your books and all the lovely people I have met through your online courses (a new adventure for me, started during Covid). I am happy to support you through Substack ….. but I have to admit, I am finding Substack very overwhelming! So many excellent writers, all wanting me to read their work and subscribe…..whereas one of my overwhelming traits is spending too long “scrolling” on my phone, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Substack!
Not sure how to address this particular overwhelm. Have you any suggestions?
I love your photos, especially as I also love trying to catch those special moments. Last time I chose the sand scene as my favourite; this time I particularly loved your washing blowing above the view of San Michel de Allende and I noticed the carving on the stone on the left hand side…
Oh thank you for asking this, Judith! Your question about “scrolling addiction,” or online obsession and overwhelm — or whatever you we want to call it — is a HUGE problem. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. It’s too big an issue to answer in a comment box. But you’ve inspired me to address this subject in a future post (or maybe several). In the meantime, I would love to know what others are doing to quiet the noise, tame the online barrage, and reclaim your lives. (And PS, I hope your frustration doesn’t mean you’re ready to pull the plug on Substack! Or at least not this Substack where we love having you here journeying home home with us 😉)
