This has been my morning routine since I can remember.
Why does coffee hold such a grip on us? (Or maybe it’s tea that does that for some of you.)

In Praise of Cards and Those Who Send Them

While card-giving may not be my preferred method of expressing love, I’ve come to understand its value thanks to a beautiful comment posted by one of you. To all the card givers out there, this post and photo series is my small way of honoring the extra mile you go to make our day a little better.
My morning drink ritual is a hot, steaming mug of matcha. Each ingredient is added separately, then whisked to perfection. I love the process and sip it over about 20 minutes. It tells me all is right with the world and feels comforting to hold the cup in both hands and breathe in the fragrance and bright green color.
Dark roast, fresh ground, black, first thing in the morning. A few cups leisurely sipped from a favorite mug while I do my morning reading. ☕️ We are on a little road trip this week, and finding a hotel with truly good in-room coffee makes the entire day better!
