If it’s feeling like a long slog to spring, or your well intentioned New Year’s resolutions just went poof out the window, or you just plain could use a lift, maybe it’s time to celebrate something. Even if it’s small. Especially if it’s small.
Celebrate the fact that you cleared out a drawer. Or moved the needle on a project. Or did something you really didn’t want to do, like (me) navigating the US Postal Service rabbit hole trying to track down a package that has gone missing.
Perhaps it was a synchronicity or a surprise encounter you had. Precious time spent with your beloveds. An ordinary moment that feels extraordinary. A sunset. An ah-ha.
What small effort, moment, or win would you like to acknowledge today?
Big or small, whatever it is, today we’re going to honor it with fireworks! Yes, we’re taking it over the top with a video that I made from our rooftop in Mexico two weeks ago.
Let the video be your own personal rooftop celebration, a reminder that even though your small efforts don’t look like much, or your success may feel minuscule and inconsequential next to the vision you hold for yourself, it is big. It matters.
It matters because when you consciously name and feel into these moments, you amplify them; you grow more of them.
Even acting as if they are a big deal changes the game.
You can watch the video below.
And PS, when you think the show is over, it keeps on going.
Like life.
Ahhh 🎉
Over the top
Big or small, let’s turn up the light and celebrate!
If there was ever a town that uses any excuse to celebrate — even the smallest things — in the biggest ways, it would be San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
It was Ignacio Allende’s 255th birthday two weeks ago. He’s one of the heroes of the Mexican Independence from Spain. And yes, even though his big day falls long after all the holiday dust has settled, he gets his own big fireworks show — as big as New Year’s.
And now you can revel too. If not for him, do it for you.
Such a great reminder Stephanie! I shared your article with one of my coaching clients because we were discussing this very thing tonight - celebrating the small victories. Sometimes, we think it needs to be “big” in order to justify it. On the contrary, recognizing the little wins along our journey can give us a such a boost!
Ahhhhh! Pure awe!!
