If you wonder what my alternate reality life has been like these past few weeks, today’s short video recap* will give you a taste. You can watch it below. [Best viewed on browser with sound up.]
While it seems like there was a lot of celebrating going on (and there was), the month was also filled with lot of quiet recharging, nesting, writing, musing, birdsong, contemplation, people-watching, color vibing — all of it courtesy of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, the place we call home in winter.
As you’ll see, the biggest star and show stopper of the month, though, was the sky!
The sky here is alive. It has a personality, a divine, commanding presence.
Catching the sunset, or whatever cloud magic the sky wishes to deliver each day from our rooftop is the best show in town. One can’t help but stop, watch, and soak every last drop of it.
What helps you slow down and recharge?
Ahhh 🏡
*For those of you who are new to my monthly recaps of life in the slow lane — I make these short one-second slices-of-life videos (to great music), at the end of each month not just to mark and remember the precious fleeting moments of my life, but as a way to wake up the senses. It helps me connect with the beauty that surrounds us, the goodness in people, and the magic that happens when we let go of attachment to outcome and revel in what shows up.
My daughter Terri Weagant is performing a one woman show in San Miguel in March. Every Beautiful Thing , hope you get to see it.
“Life doesn’t need to be filled”. I saw that sign pass through your beautiful slide show and it stuck. Thanks again for sharing the beauty of everyday life and helping us all see the beauty where we are.
