Happy spring (or fall) everyone!
What could be better right now than to take a collective pause; to welcome the change in seasons by pulling over, taking a breather, and reflecting a bit on where we’ve been.
So I thought today I would pass the torch and highlight a few of the wise things you’ve been sharing in the comment thread over the past few months.
Whether you’ve been quiet or vocal, a regular traveler or a seasonal one joining in as the spirit moves, I hope you know how grateful I am for your willingness to Journey Home with me.
It is comments like these — your wisdom, ah-ha moments, or just plain exhalations — that make it all worthwhile:
“A fuller, better-bodied image of myself appeared in my mirror as I read and reread this poem, Stephanie. Thank you for sharing it. A helpful reminder of how much more I need to do to not be such an annoying, thoughtless Earthling. That the answers to our difficulties are simpler than I make them out to be…”—From Wake Up, Earthlings
“I love this post!! We are getting bids at the moment to fix the crumbling stucco on the outside of our home. The contractors all say now is the time to rearrange windows, entry door etc. My mind goes wild with possibilities. When i think of the mess and redecorating inside and my imagination soars and also gets overwhelmed at the same time.... but then i get pulled back to a state of enoughness and realize we have enough and it is a beautiful calming feeling.”—From Having Enough
“Sometimes, we think it needs to be “big” in order to justify it. On the contrary, recognizing the little wins along our journey can give us a such a boost!”—From Celebrating Small Wins in Big Ways
“Jennifer Gardner said it all when she said ‘I’m scared.’ I used to pack those nuts and candy too but then I realized that one thing will do it and I can always buy more. Free at last! I love my small bags!”—From What’s In Your Handbag?
“Life doesn’t need to be filled. I saw that sign pass through your beautiful slide show and it stuck. Thanks again for sharing the beauty of everyday life and helping us all see the beauty where we are.”—From The Sky’s the Limit
“Oh, Stephanie--what a magnificent gift this little movie was. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And I was so mesmerized that I couldn’t shut it off and watched it all the way to the very, very end and was I glad I did because the credits had a whole other part to play in the movie. My heart--no, my SOUL--so needed this.” —From Making Things Whole Again
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Don’t be shy. If something you read or experience on our journey together moves you going forward, please post it in the comments. Your insights help us all spread our spacious wings.
What also makes my day is when someone decides to upgrade their free subscription to a paid one.
It truly has been a joy for me to create and drop these inspirations into your inbox twice a week. And, as you can probably guess, crafting and putting these pieces together takes work and a lot of time.
While I love every moment, your paid contributions have a booster rocket effect. They lift me up and make me want to keep going.
Along with your comments, your support lets me know that you’re on board, being moved in some way, getting value.
But it’s not just about the energetic exchange and support for this work, which is real.
There’s the longterm benefit to you, too.
After a short period, every post — yes, like the ones referenced in the comments above — goes behind a paywall, and is visible only to paid subscribers.
If you visit the home page here — where all posts are now neatly organized into three themes (Conscious Clearing, Spacious Reveals, World Views) — what you’ll see is a bouquet of inspirational offerings that will always be there to meet you where you are.
All of it becomes yours to explore and drop into anytime you need a boost, a nudge, or a spacious respite.
However you wish to join, THANK YOU for being here.
