Making the Most of a Fleeting Moment
An ode to summer
Here’s an inspiration for us to journey home with today…
“Oh, this summer, you are teaching me so much about love, presence, devotion, responsibility, grace, kindness, gumption, perspective, discipline, and rest. Time, you are my greatest teacher. I am breathing you in. I am sighing you out. I am growing quieter each day so that I might hear the whisper of what’s next. I don’t want to miss it. Days pass, years vanish, and we walk sightless among miracles.”
If you were to write an ode to summer, what would it say?
My ode right now is nothing fancy nor as eloquent as Dani Shapiro’s beautiful quote. Just a little video I made the other day while sitting on my back porch; a moment captured, rich in heart and meaning.
Nothing beats the blessings of being home, being with my beloveds, being surrounded by trees…
and listening to the soothing sounds of peace and quiet.
Ahhh… yes… lets make that a round of peaceful blessings for us all 🏡🌳🙌🏼
