It All Matters
How the smallest, invisible acts of kindness can make a difference… and ultimately bring us home
Hi everyone,
We can all use a little turtle medicine. Enjoy this slow-good — updated — summer series repost*
Ahhh 🐢🐢🐢
“It all matters. That someone turns out the lamp, picks up the windblown wrapper, says hello to the invalid, pays at the unattended lot, listens to the repeated tale, folds the abandoned laundry, plays the game fairly, tells the story honestly, acknowledges help, gives credit, says good night, resists temptation, wipes the counter, waits at the yellow, makes the bed, tips the maid, remembers the illness, congratulates the victor, accepts the consequences, takes a stand, steps up, offers a hand, goes first, goes last, chooses the small portion, teaches the child, tends to the dying, comforts the grieving, removes the splinter, wipes the tear, directs the lost, touches the lonely, is the whole thing.
What is most beautiful is least acknowledged.”
― Laura McBride, We Are Called to Rise
It’s not every day that you stumble on a group of volunteers doing something extraordinary. But that is what is going on in the video below.
It is these images of selfless action, along with Laura McBride’s beautiful message on kindness, that move me to share this wish and blessing for us all:
May all our little (unacknowledged) turtle actions make our beautiful world even more beautiful.
May we accept and receive the support that is freely (and often invisibly) offered along the way.
And like these turtles, may we be held and guided as we journey home… to the place that most nourishes and makes us come alive.
What is moving you to act on right now that may not be seen, appreciated, or acknowledged?
Ahhh 💕🙏🏼🐢
*A word about reposts
As a big fan or repurposing, I thought it would be fun, and maybe even illuminating, to create a little summer series where I roll out a few of the more popular posts from the past year.
In my experience with clearing journeys, there are benefits to circling back around: revisiting a concept, idea, or tool that may have inspired us (or even mystified us). As we change, so does our outlook and our ability to take in information in a new way. May that be so with this series.
Oh, and if you’re enjoying these posts, please share, like, restack… and help us grow this spacious energy.
Love you calling them the little turtle actions! May we be nourished and held.
