“…Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.”
—Leonard Cohen
Hi everyone,
For those of you who enjoy traveling in the slow lane with me, you’ll find my latest video installment* below for November.
…
November in New England evokes a kind of messy middle
where you have…
Trees that have let go of excess weight next to others not quite yet ready
Shrubs past their glorious prime mixed with others in full flower
Moody weather patterns colliding with clear, calm and settled ones
Can anyone relate?
…
For all its seeming flaws, what November does have going for it is…
Exuberance
Diversity
A freedom to let things fall where they may
Possibility
Thanksgiving
…
Somehow all these disparate parts feel quite energizing when you step back and take them for what they are:
part of a glorious interconnected whole.
…
What feels off, incomplete, or ‘messy’ to you right now?
What would it take to just embrace it all as it is; to see it as some part of a bigger story or plan that has yet to be revealed?
Ahhh 🏡

Whether you are suffering from a bad case of overwhelm or could simply use a reboot, may this beauty of a poem by Mary Oliver steer you back in the right direction… home to you.
Hi, I like your approach and have the book your spacious self and 2 courses on DailyOm "clear your home, clear your life" and "a year to clear what is holding you back". What should I start to do, what difference is there from the book "a year to clear" to the course? What different content has the version of a year for you? Is that the book for daily tasks? I am a bit confused.. Thanks for your help to position each item for me :) greetings from a messie who wants space. Regards Tina
Ahhh! Love the term messy middle. Life is so full of two things at once like the trees here in Vermont that have green and some bare and now snow. ❄️ I feel that as I can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with our kids and also have some dread about the new year “ leadership” coming. Enjoying the moment now fr
