Keep this in your heart
this glowing warm yellow day
when it is winter
—Haiku by Peter Galen Massey
For some reason the color yellow has been showing up big time in my photo stream these days. Not sure why since yellow by itself isn’t exactly my favorite. You could argue that it’s the location backdrop of living in sunny Mexico.
But I think there’s more to it. Knowingly or unknowingly, the taking of these pictures is having a healing effect on me. Even just scrolling through them I notice an immediate lift and shift in energy, a heart opening.
I marvel at how a warm yellow can animate its surroundings, turn a cloudy day into a sunny one, a meh moment in a golden one.
If you could use a lift or warm glow wherever you are today, maybe these photos will work their magic on you too.
Which one of these images speaks to you? What colors are you most drawn to these days?
Ahhh 💛
Gold in pictures…

Starry eyes
Interesting that you say this Stephanie. Many years ago I was standing at my kitchen window looking out at (about this time of year, coming to early spring) a stand of yellow mustard flowers. I actually "felt" like I was metabolizing the yellow. It was so uplifting, so stirring to my heart. I think on a vibrational level I was doing just that. It took me several years to even mention it to my husband. It just seemed a little too "airy-fairy". I now recognize it as a "thing". Here in the Napa valley in California. We are in the "yellow" months. The mustard is in bloom, the Acacias are in bloom and this year with the big rains we are having a major sour grass bloom. Just thought I would share.
Beautiful photos and reflections, Stephanie!
