Welcome back to another episode of life in the slow lane coming to you from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The music in this month’s video recap* is aptly entitled “Arranca.” The word means “start” in Spanish, and is also commonly used to convey “get out there.”
You could say that getting out there is exactly what I did last month. With camera in hand, each day offered up a host of reveals — each one more surprising, colorful, and playful than the next. Throw in a radiant jacaranda tree seducing me from across the street, a Holy Week extravaganza, and the cutest kids you’ll ever see, and you get the picture.
Wherever it is you find yourself today, here’s what I’m wondering…
What is it that you are ready to get out there and do… (or just simply start)?
Not sure? Let the music in the video below lift you up and take you there.
And if you’re still unmoved, perhaps this passage by writer Alan Watts can give you courage:
“You are under no obligation to be the same person you were five minutes ago.”
Ahhh…rranca! 🏡🌷🥰
In case you missed it…
*New to my monthly recaps of life in the slow lane?
I make these short one-second slices-of-life videos (to great music) at the end of each month not just to mark and remember the precious fleeting moments of my life, but as a way to wake up the senses. It helps me connect with the beauty that surrounds us, the goodness in people, and the magic that happens when we let go of attachment to outcome and revel in what shows up.
Great taste of your journey! Very colorful!
Wonderful Stephanie! Lifted my spirits. UnDaLay!! 😆
